Journey with us as we explore the projects that we have been pleased to be a part of. We have been very fortunate in being able to enjoy giving back to our community through the services that we provide.

What We Do
Previous Projects
Summer Day Camps
The members of CROSS have operated Summer Camp Programs for 6 years. Two were in partnership with local elementary schools and 2 in partnership with area churches.
Food and Clothes Drives
CROSS members participated in can good drives to assist families with holiday boxes. We have also sponsored a "Coats for Kids" drive where we partnered with a local cleaners to launder and package the coats.
Make A Difference Day
CROSS members participated in the annual "Make A Difference Day". We sponsored an area clean up of the Moss Point Community.
Transitional Housing Program
CROSS members operated the only Emergency Shelter in the city of Moss Point. The Transitional Housing Program aided with housing and supportive services for women and their children until we were able to locate them permanent housing.

We continue in our quest to provide additional services as they are requested. The services that we provide are in partnership with other agencies.

Current Projects
GOTV Promote the Vote Initiative
CROSS members sponsors the "Promote the Vote" Initiative. During this initiative we participate in several "Get out the Vote" activities which include, phone texting, canvasing, rally's, vendor opportunities to distribute voting information, social media promotions, and partnership events with other agencies. Activities are made possible by funding obtained through Black Voters Matter Fund.
COVID 19 Awareness Initiative
The members of CROSS participate in COVID 19 Awareness activities. Members sponsored COVID stations at local churches, local events, promoted information during vendor opportunities and on social media. The goal is to inform individuals, who are primarily of African American descent, of how getting vaccinated can be an important step in the prevention of contracting the virus. This effort was also made possible by funding through the Black Voters Matter Fund.
Angel Tree
CROSS members participates in the annual Angel Tree Program for children of incarcerated parents. The goal of this program is to provide toys and other items to children who would not otherwise have them during the Christmas Holidays because of the absent parent. This effort was sponsored in part by Toys for Tots of Jackson County and the Moss Point High School Class of 1982.
Disaster Recovery and Relief
CROSS has assisted houses of worship with their recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and have been called on again to partner and aid in relief efforts for those affected by the tornado in the City of Moss Point, MS experienced in June of 2023. CROSS is partnering with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Mississippi Cluster to provide assistance.
